FG approves 13% derivation revenue for solid mineral states
The Federal Government has given approval for the execution of the unavoidably ensured 13 for every penny determination from mineral incomes to meriting states.
The Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, declared this yesterday at a two-day workshop on Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) in the advancement of mining area in Sokoto.
He said the workshop would empower useful support of state governments in normal assets administration.
"We have endorsement for the execution of the unavoidably ensured 13 for every penny determination for mineral income to states. This is like the inference that oil-creating states are as of now getting a charge out of from the Federation Account," he expressed.
Fayemi included that the Federal Government was working intently to assemble the limit of state governments in the organizing of the vehicles to take an interest in mining in their locales.

Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal said that the state would work with the Federal Government to formalize and deal with the artisanal mineworkers.
