Sultan cautions agitators against secession


The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar has advised those unsettling for severance to stop from it in light of a legitimate concern for the nation's solidarity. 


He talked in Enugu at the great gathering sorted out by the state government to pay tribute to the Rangers International Football Club. 

The sultan said he was focused on the solidarity and unification of Nigeria, including that those clamoring for a partition were committing an enormous error.

The ruler cautioned lawmakers and pioneers to cease from utilizing religion and ethnicity to isolate the nation. 

He said Nigeria would keep on flourishing with the commitment and abilities of the diverse ethnic gatherings, religions and people. 

He said there was no chance the nation could separate since all the ethnic gatherings have intermixed the nation over. 

"We have Igbo individuals everywhere in the nation and they are productive and we have Hausa individuals who have not lived anyplace else with the exception of in Igboland. Additionally, we have Yoruba individuals in various parts of the nation who are contributing their portion to the general public."
